What will you be like on our day?

I have called my work wedding stories rather than photography for as long as I can remember. I think there is a big difference in approach where a traditional photographer is photographer centric, a storyteller is people centric. I love photographers who are just relaxed and easy to be around and that’s the approach I have. It allows the day to keep its flow. I’m relaxed and confident and a bit of fun but I understand the boundaries. I love looking for moments, connections and getting those story elements that don’t seem to be prevalent in today’s industry. I just do my thing and you don’t have to worry about me basically. I’m not for everyone though, if you are looking for hundreds of group shots and hours away from your guests, i’m not for you! I’m more for couples who are looking for fun candids and stylish shots without the hassle of feeling like a photographer is taking over their day.

What is your process during couple portraits?

I love doing couple portraits, it’s just a stroll in the grounds with a friend. You will get a chance to breathe from the hustle and bustle of the day and we will have a few laughs along the way. You will literally have no wedding nerves at this point and that’s guaranteed! I prepare all of the best locations based on composition and light and check with your coordinator what time they need you back for speeches and food so everything is perfectly timed. I’ll ask you to stand somewhere and have a chat amongst yourselves so you have real emotions and natural interactions. I’ll only dip in to make slight adjustments so you look more comfortable and I might make you laugh for those spontaneous moments.

What happens if it rains?

With rain there are always a few breaks in the day, and if there isn’t, there will be areas inside where there are beautiful patches of light we can use, and I can create my own light.

Do you do group shots?

Yes I do but it’s not endless rows for hours. Iv it down to a T, you’ll only need 15 minutes and you will actually enjoy them! I use banter to get more natural shots and get those moments in-between so you get a mix of typical group shots, fun shots and natural. Many guests have commented that its has been the smoothest group shot experience they have had.

What is the process?

Most couples have either met me at a wedding or have been recomended to me. Once booked we can chat in detail and put a schedule together. I can give you helpful hints and tips, and can guide you as to the best options for your wedding. :)

How do we book?

I book up quickly so I don’t open the books for future years too early. It just means that everyone gets a chance and plus my brain can’t work that far ahead! The 2024+2025 diaries are currently open, click below to check my availability.
