After a lovely engagement shoot in Islington around some of the lovely and notorious streets of their Hollywood setting home it was time for their wedding. I loved the characteristic backdrop from the preshoot, where they lived and got to relive it recently in the film Christopher Robin (2018).

Middle Temple Hall was the setting of this fabulous wedding, the enormous law court that is so large and fantastic in its grounds that it has its own underground station designated nearby overlooking the river Thames. To tell their story we decided a pre-wedding shoot would help get over some of those pre-wedding nerves and get a little relaxed in front of the camera, where they could just be themselves ready for the big day.

The wedding was during our warm 2018 summer so the light was ever changing from even light to dramatic with soft to hard shadows, so there was a challenge but room for some dynamic work. The setting was perfect for the outdoor ceremony in the courtyard next to the fountain as the leaves gently swayed and fluttered to the ground. Luke and Sarah had met me at a North East wedding and just thought my relaxed approach was perfect for their elegant wedding to gain some very natural photographs.

The inner temple hall was astounding, seeped in history and the main meal was set with dozens of synchronised waiters placing the meals at the same coordinated time. It was breathtaking to see. Luke and Sarah however were a very down to earth couple who saw the best in everyone around them and had a very romantic ideal for their relationship and their future. It was lovely to see where they had been where they were and where they were going in future plans together.

By the evening a mix of a London DJ and a musician set the stage to some fantastic party filled experiences. I have the photos but I have the memories too.
