What do you feel our style and approach will bring to your wedding?:
We both like the dark, atmospheric photos we have seen you do as well as the ones outside with the lights. We like the fact your photos don’t look posed and unnatural and we also liked your laid back attitude.
What will your wedding be like, style and atmosphere wise?:
We like to laugh and have fun as a couple so we hope our wedding will reflect that. We don’t take things too seriously and our families are very important to us. Our theme is navy, red and gold so we would like our photos to be rich to show that. We have gone for a semi-woodland theme with log slices, eucalyptus and natural features. There will probably be quite a few emotional moments during the day neither the bride or groom has a big family so the speeches will be very important. There are quite a few people close to both the bride and groom who have passed away and we want to honour them during the day – there will be a photo stand and they will be mentioned in the speeches. We hope the evening reception will be lively.
What would you love us to capture on your wedding day?:
Sarah – I would really like photos of me getting ready with my mam and maid of honour. Photos of me having my make up and hair done etc. I would also like to get a “first look” shot with my maid of honour, the groomsmen (if possible – this would obviously be before Brett sees me and might be difficult to orchestrate) and a photo of Brett’s first look as I walk down the aisle. Photos of moment are far more important to me than staged photos. I would really like some romantic photos of myself and Brett outside (weather permitting) as well as some close up shots of the rings etc. If it’s not raining, I would quite like a shot in the courtyard with the lights too.
Brett – I would really like candid photos of our day time guests and of my family. Also, a nice, natural photo of me with my nan and some shots of myself and the groomsmen getting ready in the morning. We have quite a lot of hidden touches during the day (for example, I will have writing on the sole of my shoe, the Grape Soda badge on my lapel etc).
We both feel really strongly about not having people’s phones in any of the shots. We have numerous passive aggressive signs telling people to put them away but please single people out if they have them in their hand and make them feel awkward.
