Voted one of the top 60 wedding photographers in the world, by Looks Like Film.
So today (14th Jan 2019) I learned from another photographer, I had been listed as one of the best wedding photographers in the world by the biggest and most prestigious photography community in the world, Looks Like Film. This is amazing recognition simply because of how objective and organic the selection is.
2018 was a very busy year with 52 weddings and the launch of my videography company Dickiebow Films. I put in a lot of hard work and dedication, doing the best I can and striving for perfection. Those who know me, know I love to be around people and that I see awards and marketing as a chore, id rather be making friends which is why weddings are such a great avenue for me. I also love to be creative, to do something original whilst really understanding the narrative of the people I am around. Another reason my storytelling work is something I treasure dearly.
To put all of my efforts into what I do, it is only my couples that see how much I care and that’s all I care about really but to have all of the very best photographers in the world support me secretly is amazing and this has really made my day, to be given this recognition.
I am still aiming to improve my work quality with each wedding and I am very humble in my approach, I suppose this is the trait of a perfectionist. I still feel as though my couples enjoyment comes first and I am looking forward to meeting all of the new people who love life, love to share their day with family and friends and love my approach.
A big thank you to everyone. And I do hope to have a little time in February to post some of the lovely weddings I did from 2018. Heres to 2019 though!
